Flying pigs

I made this little guy today. Took me a while to get his face right, I don't know why but I just sturggled with his eyes! The wings were tricky too but I got impatient to finish him so they're staying as they are!

Back on track!!

Right, I'm back to it! Had a busy week turning a year older etc...but this weekend I've had chance to make some more stuff.

Made this on Sunday...

...also made a tiny battenburg cake keyring but couldn't get a decent pic of it, my camera's rubbish and wouldn't focus on it.

Have spent practically all day today making this little fella...

...I'm pretty pleased with him so it was worth the effort!! Dig the Bon Jovi hairstyle!! That purple thing on the right hand side is a rosette, in case you were wondering!

Too tired....

Ah no, four days in and I'm too tired to be creative! Bah. Had a pretty bad day at work so I'm frazzled. But, I can't write a blog post without including a pic, so here's a manta ray that I made last week!


I wasn't clever enough to come up with the design myself (well, I have only just started crocheting) so I followed a pattern from http://littlegreen.typepad.com/romansock/ - there's some amazing stuff on here, well worth having a nose!

I'm off for a mug of cocoa and an early night. ZzzzzzzZzzzzzzzzzzzZzzzzzzzzz

The toast has had a baby!!

Mini toast! Made a little toast keyring tonight...although my friend kindly pointed out that it looks slightly like a monkey. Erm, yes, maybe it does actually! Or is it just because I've used monkey-ish colours?
Anyway, I feel another idea brewing....soon there may be a few more monkeys around here.

Ice cream

Today I've been working on an ice-cream design...I've been working on it for a while actually and it's really starting to annoy me!



I started off with this sketch....








which I drew with black ink and a manga pen. Then I had the problem of adding colour...I don't have any proper design software, so I was stuck with just using Paint! It has taken me ages to colour it in and I've been very confused with bitmap/jpeg formats blah blah! I've ended up with this but I'm still not happy, saving it as a jpeg made it go odd! Oh well.




Now I've posted the pic and it just looks tiny! Bah...bloomin' compooters!



I also finished off a little crochet flower thingmy (not sure if it's a keyring or bagcharm or just a flower!!) that I'm going to send to Liza in London. Couldn't be bothered to take a pic so I scanned it instead!

Today I made toast!

Seeing as the weather was slightly rubbish today and I was feeling equally rubbish, I decided to turn one of my drawings into crochet! This is the drawing in question...

Yes, I use my time so productively!
